About Miss Nicole
My name is Nicole Ostendorf and I am excited to be working with your children this year. This is my fifth year teaching at ASFG and I feel very blessed to be a part of the ASFG community. I am originally from Minnesota, but I have also lived in Argentina and the United Arab Emirates. I have a Bachelor's of Arts in Spanish and Global Studies from the University of Minnesota, a Master's in Teaching English as a Second Language from St. Thomas University, and a Master's in International Education from Framingham University. I have several years of experience teaching a variety of subjects in schools in Minnesota, Buenos Aires, and Abu Dhabi. I have had a love for teaching since I was young and thoroughly enjoy what I do.
Family is very important to me. I have four siblings- one brother and three sisters. My parents still live in Minnesota, but I have siblings in Minnesota, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, California. Although we do not live close to each other, we keep in close contact thanks to modern technology. My absolute favorite activity is spending time with my two nieces, ages nine and six.
In my free time I enjoy traveling, cooking and baking, reading, and spending time with my family. I also enjoy dancing, going to the movies, watching soccer games, and trying out new restaurants. I've spent time in Mexico, Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, Canada, Japan, Singapore, and United Arab Emirates. Some of my favorite travel spots are Dubai, Tokyo, Kyoto, Mexico City, and Buenos Aires. I look forward to the opportunity to travel more extensively throughout Mexico during my time here.
